I don't know how many of you know that in less the n2 hours I will be moving away from the quarter-century mark. In Feb 9 1982 I was born in Bellevue Washington.

Over the next 25 years my birthdays have been very similar in format. I choose a place to go for dinner and then every comes back to the house after. Also when I was younger I would choose a place I wanted to visit. early on it was places like the rollerskating rink or the bowling ally and latter it was the Aquarium, the Pike Place Market, or the Burke Museum.

This year was definitely different. The biggest difference being that I am working ~400 miles from home and so did not make it back. I will call home tomorrow. The next thing was a dinner which I went to tonight. My boss at the interpretive center told me there was a dinner at her house on the 8th. I dint think about it much and so I showed up tonight with no real expectations.

I am probably one of the only people in the county who has had not only cheerleaders at there birthday dinner, but ended up with the Cheerleaders creating a cheer for me for my birthday. In between that was pretty mellow with talk and wine and talk, ...ohh and the occasional urge to go for a dip in the river to celebrate. Its warm right now for this time of year, having gone from 20 degree F average days to 36 in the last couple of days, but the river is still covered in ice so I politely declined that. After an excellent homemade dinner came the dessert of cheese cake. This was an excellent cake that somehow steered conversation onto some very, shall we say amusing....... topics involving the consequences of eating cake and then Disneyworld and shorts.

This has been one of the funner birthdays I have had in a number of years.

I will be leaving to visit my dad and sister for Christmas/newyears on Saturday. This menas time o wanderr around Lake Washington area and take pictures, relax, photograph my and my fathers minerals and fossils and just have fun. This also means less time on dA. but o well.
